SCHOLTEN & BAIJINGS（ショルテン＆バーイングス）/ デザイナー

ショルテン＆バーイングスは、ステファン・ショルテン（1972年生まれ）とキャロル・バーイングス（1973年生まれ）による、オランダのアムステルダムにあるデザインスタジオです。2000年に設立され、プロダクト、家具、グラフィックそして展示デザインに携わっています。彼らは、椅子、陶器、ガラス製品、テキスタイル、ラグ、食器など、さまざまな種類のプロダクトのデザインをしています。また、有名な機関やブランドのコンセプトづくりにも取り組んできました。その作品は、Dutch Design Award、Wallpaper Design Award、ELLE Decoration International Design Awardなど、数多くの賞を受賞しています。

ショルテンは、Design Academy Eindhovenを卒業しています。一方、バーイングスは独学でデザインを学びました。完璧主義者である彼らの作品は、慎重に考えられたパターン、カラー、グラフィック要素が特徴です。HAYでは、さまざまな家具、テキスタイル、アクセサリーのデザインを手掛けています。
